2D into 3D - Flat planes, Picasso

So we all know Picasso is famous for paintings that are, well, a little weird! But he sort of paints like 2D flat planes, as you can see in the image above. There's no tone as such, just outlines and block colours.
This is Picasso's Guitar, made from cardboard flat planes. I think it's been made with tabs, that's how it's been stuck together, however the metal guitar he made would've been welded together.
