Abstracting the face using a window, similar to what Alyssa Monks does with her shower portraits and Jenny Saville's work where she is pressed up against glass (see pictures at the bottom). These pictures are of 3 college friend's faces (cheers guys!) squashed against a window, distorting the features and also changing the skin colour, making the pink tones more yellow / white. Would like to try and create this effect using clay? Would be easy to sculpt and smear like the face is pressed against the window. To get the impression of the face being squashed I would need to use colour to really show the distortion of the skin, black and white wouldn't show the tones in the skin.
